State of Mind

State of Mind is an Auckland-based drum and bass duo comprising Stu Maxwell and Patrick Hawkins, operating since 2004 and widely regarded as one of New Zealand's most enduring acts in the genre. Across five studio albums, they have earned international recognition including the Drum & Bass Awards Album of the Year for "Eat the Rich" (2014) and three Best Electronic Artist nominations at the Aotearoa Music Awards. Currently signed exclusively to Black Sun Empire's Blackout label, they have collaborated with major DnB imprints including Eatbrain, Shogun, Viper, and Bad Company.
